Chester Zoo

Chester Zoo is one of the UK’s biggest and most loved zoos. It opened in 1934 and is now home to over 20,000 animals from around 500 different species. But Chester Zoo is more than just a place to see animals – its main goal is to help stop animals from going extinct. Through global conservation efforts, breeding programs, education, and scientific research, Chester Zoo works to protect endangered species and their habitats while inspiring people to live sustainably and care for wildlife.
