Rangers play a key role for our planet’s critical conservation battle. Patrolling is one of the most crucial part of a ranger’s job to combat wildlife crimes and illegal activities. Fondation Segré values their devotion to preserve endangered wildlife and precious natural sites and believe that their training is pivotal in the conservation game. Thus, we decided to partner with two conservation organisations, WWF and the Southern African Wildlife College, both well positioned to further strengthen the capacity of ranger training in various forms.
In India and Bhutan, WWF’s work will focus on aligning and updating ranger training curriculums as well as developing effective wildlife crime controls modules (read more about this project here). In Africa, the Southern African Wildlife College, acknowledged as one of the best ranger training colleges in the world, will provide training with focused programmes that address specific occupational or skills needs for conservation professionals (read more about this project here).
